12 Creating Animations Tangent handles before and after breaking. Editing Keyframe Values with the Keyboard If you want to enter a precise value for a specific keyframe, you can use the keyboard. You can also click and drag the cursor over the value in parenthesis to increase or decrease it. The graph reflects the new value. To set a keyframe value with the keyboard: 1. In the Timeline list, double-click the keyframe you want to edit. The Numerical Input dialog appears. keyframes in time can be accomplished in both Overview and Graph modes. To move a keyframe in time in Overview mode: Click and drag the keyframe to its new time. To move a keyframe in time in Graph mode: Right-click the keyframe and drag it in time. The cursor changes to indicate that you can drag the keyframe left or right. Note: Changing a keyframe's position in time can affect the shape of the animation curve between keyframes. 2. Type a value in the input field. 3. Click OK to close the dialog and set the keyframe value. Moving a Keyframe in Time Normally, you drag a keyframe's value without changing its place in time. You can, however, change a keyframe's time without changing its value. This is useful if you want to change the timing of an animation or effect. For example, the position of a moving layer is correct at frame 100, but you want it to reach that position 5 frames earlier. Moving 290
