However, if a channel contains a list of values (for example, the list of surface Transfer Modes in a composite), then you can choose Cycle to rotate through them. The controller is configured to correspond to the channel parameter settings. 5. Click the channel. The channel is now linked to the controller. An icon appears next to the channel to indicate it has been linked. Linking Channels to a Controller Once you have added a controller, you must link it to one or more channels in the operators contained within the capsule. This is how you expose certain channels for manipulation by users of the capsule. You can link channels to controllers on a one-to-one basis, or link multiple channels to the same controller to set the simultaneously. If you create a controller from an existing channel, it is automatically linked to its originating channel. However, you can link additional channels to it if necessary. To link channels to a controller: 1. In the Capsule Controls panel, click Controllers. 2. Select the controller in the Controls tree. 3. Click Link. The Link button is enabled. 4. In the ChannelPick panel, locate the operator channel that you want to link to the new controller. The Red Gain channel has been linked to the Gain capsule controller. 6. To link additional channels to the controller, repeat steps 3-5 as required. Below, the Red, Green, and Blue Gain channels in the Add Grain operator were linked to the Gain controller.
