31 Rendering To rename an output: 1. Do one of the following: • Right-click an output in the output queue and choose Rename Output. • Double-click the output in the queue. • Select the output and press CTRL+M. The Enter New Output Name dialog appears. 2. Type a new name and click OK. Moving Operators and Outputs Move operators and outputs in the queue to set the rendering order. Since outputs are rendered from first (top of queue) to last (bottom of queue), you may want to move outputs to render them earlier or later. When you move an operator, all its outputs are moved with it. To move an operator or output up or down in the queue: Do one of the following: • Right-click the operator or output in the output queue and choose Move Up or Move Down. • Select the operator or output and press UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW. You can reset the operators to the default rendering order, which is the order in which they appear in the Workspace panel. To reset the rendering order in the queue: Do one of the following: • Right-click in the output queue and choose Optimize Render Order from the context menu. • Press SHIFT+UP ARROW or SHIFT+DOWN ARROW. Note: Autodesk Combustion Render Queue optimization reorders the rendering order of operators. The rendering order of outputs belonging to each operator is not affected. Specifying Video Output Settings Use the Video Output settings to render the video portions of a composite or other branch. You can create movies with the same professional options and properties as the footage that you used to create the project. Many industry formats are supported. Note: For information on rendering the audio portions of a project, see "Audio Rendering" in Chapter 30, "Adding Audio''. To specify Video Output settings: 1. In the Autodesk Combustion Render Queue, make sure Video Output is enabled. This option is enabled by default. The Video Output options become available. Note: You can use presets to avoid having to set these output options for each render. 2. Select a format for the rendered files from the Format list. For information on the available options, see Choosing an Image Format. 3. Select the rendering quality from the Quality list. For information, see Setting Rendering Quality. 4. Select the size of the rendered image from the Frame Size list. For information, see Choosing a Frame Size. 5. Select a bit depth for the rendered files form the Depth list. Only a few formats support higher bit depth. The Original Depth shows the bit depth of the output's operator. For more information, see "Setting Bit Depth of Rendered Images" in Chapter 22, "Working with Bit Depth''. 6. Choose the channels to render. For information, see Choosing Which Channels to Render. 7. Set field dominance, if required. For information, see Setting Field Dominance. 8. If the selected format creates an image sequence (rather than a single movie file), set the image 762

To rename an output:

Do one of the following:

Right-click an output in the output queue and

choose Rename Output.

Double-click the output in the queue.

Moving Operators and Outputs

Move operators and outputs in the queue to set the

rendering order. Since outputs are rendered from
