Editing Expressions ❚❘❘ To change the variables of an expression script: Do one of the following: • Click the Multi-line Editor tab or press SHIFT+ENTER to open the Multi-line Editor, change the expression's variables and press SHIFT+ENTER to close the Multi-line Editor. • If the expression script is no longer than one line, you can also change the expression's variables directly in the Timeline graph and press ENTER. The channel is animated based on the value returned by the expression script. If an expression is not valid, Combustion displays a warning icon in the Info palette located at the bottom of the screen. Double-click the warning icon to show a list of the error messages. To view the result: Do one of the following: • In the Timeline, click Graph. • Play the clip. To copy an expression to another channel: Do one of the following: • Right-click the channel that has the expression you want to copy, choose Copy (CTRL+C) and rightclick the channel to which you want to paste the expression and choose Paste (CTRL+V). • Right-click the expression script you want to copy, choose Copy (CTRL+C) and right-click the channel to which you want to paste the expression and choose Paste (CTRL+V). To delete an expression: Do one of the following: • In the Timeline, right-click the channel that has the expression you want to delete and choose Delete or Remove Expression. • In the Timeline, right-click the expression script and choose Delete. • In the Timeline, select the expression script or the channel that has the expression you want to delete and press DELETE. 319
