To create a complex polygon selection using the B-Spline Selection tool: 1. In the Toolbar, click the B-Spline Selection tool . To create control points for a curved polygon,

click to anchor a control point, and then drag the

crosshair to create a curved side of the shape.

Note:

You can edit Bezier control points to

change the curve of the polygon. For more

information, see

“Editing Object Shapes” in

Chapter 17, “Paint: Drawing Basics’’

Continue marking control points as needed.

Move the crosshair back to the first control point,

then click to close the Polygon curve selection.

B-Spline Selection tool:

In the Toolbar, click the B-Spline Selection tool

. If the tool is not visible, click-drag the area

selection tools icon and choose the B-Spline

Selection tool.

Creating a Text Selection

In the Paint operator, use the Text Selection tool to

make text-shaped selection objects.

Select the font for the text object from

the Font list. Click the Font menu to select
