Channel Filters ❚❘❘ Channel Filters Use the channel filters to modify the individual color channels of the image. For more information, see "Using Channel Effects" in Chapter 9, "Working with Image Channels''. To learn about the Switcher operator, see "Switching Between Inputs" in Chapter 7, "Committing Frames to Disk''. Color Correction Filters Use the Color Correction filters to adjust the colors in your images. Color Warper The Color Warper gives you access to advanced controls for color correction and color effects, including the ability to precisely manipulate selected color ranges in your clips. For more information, see Chapter 25, "Color Warper''. Discreet Color Corrector Use the Discreet Color Corrector when you need a high level of control and precision to perform color adjustment on your clips. For information on using this operator, see Chapter 24, "Color Correcting''. Discreet CC Basics This filter gives you access to the controls available in the Basics panel of the Discreet Color Corrector. For more information, see Chapter 24, "Color Correcting''. Discreet CC Color Wheel This filter gives you access to the controls available in the Color panel of the Discreet Color Corrector. For more information, see Chapter 24, "Color Correcting''. Discreet CC Curves This filter gives you access to the controls available in the Curves panel of the Discreet Color Corrector. For more information, see Chapter 24, "Color Correcting''. Discreet CC Histogram This filter gives you access to the controls available in the Histogram panel of the Discreet Color Corrector. For more information, see Chapter 24, "Color Correcting''. Balance Use Balance to modify the individual Red, Green, and Blue levels in a layer. Use the sliders to adjust the amount of each color channel by a certain percentage. Bit Depth Converter The Bit Depth Converter is grouped with other Color Correction filters, but is described in Chapter 22, "Working with Bit Depth''. You can promote and demote bit depth mid-stream using the Bit Depth Converter operator. For example, you can increase bit depth to increase the number of possible colors before an operator such as the Keyer. After the Keyer, you can decrease the bit depth to save memory. For more information, see "Adding a Bit Depth Converter" in Chapter 22, "Working with Bit Depth''. Brightness/Contrast Use Brightness and Contrast to modify the layer's brightness and contrast levels. 559

Channel Filters

Use the channel filters to modify the individual color

channels of the image. For more information, see

Color Correction Filters

Use the Color Correction filters to adjust the colors

in your images.

Color Warper

The Color Warper gives you access to advanced

controls for color correction and color effects,

including the ability to precisely manipulate selected

color ranges in your clips. For more information, see

Chapter 25, “Color Warper’’

Discreet Color Corrector

Use the Discreet Color Corrector when you need a

high level of control and precision to perform color

adjustment on your clips. For information on using

this operator, see
