To create colored, stained glass shadows: 1. Select the layer that you want to cast a colored, stained glass shadow. 2. Click Layer in the Composite controls. 3. Make sure Invisible to Rays is disabled. 4. Enable Cast Shadow. 5. Enable Stained Glass. Setting Specular Level and Glossiness ❚❘❘ Regular shadow Stained glass shadow The Stained Glass button transfers the color information of the shadow-casting layer to the shadow, creating a stained glass effect. In the following illustration, the shadow-casting layer is hidden, making it appear as though light is passing through it from above, casting a colored shadow on the stone wall. No shadow 6. To cast a soft stained glass shadow, follow the previous procedure for softening a shadow, but with the Stained Glass button enabled for the shadow-casting layer.
