Layer is off Making Layers the Current Object Select the layer from the Current list in the Composite Controls panel. • Click the layer in the viewport. • In the Workspace panel, select the layer you want to hide and choose Object | Toggle Visibility (CTRL+T). The icon is yellow when the layer is on and gray when it is off. To turn multiple layers on or off: 1. Select the layers. 2. Choose Object | Toggle Visibility (CTRL+T). The selected layers are toggled on or off. If some of the layers are on and others are off, all the layers are toggled off. Selected layer The layer is highlighted in the Workspace panel and its pivot point appears in the viewport. To make a layer the current object: Double-click the layer in the Workspace panel or Timeline. Making Layers the Current Object To move or rotate a layer, or change its properties, you must first select it. To make the layer the current object, the viewport icon needs to be next to the layer in the Workspace panel. Note: You can make changes to a layer without making the layer the current object. To select a layer: Do one of the following: • Select the layer in the Workspace panel or Timeline. Viewport icon When a layer is the current object, the viewport is displayed next to the layer in the Workspace panel and the active viewport switches to Layer view. To select multiple layers: Do one of the following: • SHIFT-click or CTRL-click the layers in the Workspace panel, the Timeline, or in the viewport. • Drag a selection box around layers in the Workspace panel or Timeline. 129
