Using the File Browser ❚❘❘ 4. To remove a file from the lower pane, doubleclick it, or select it and click Remove. To remove all files, click Clear. Changing the Browser View You can choose to view files in either a list or as thumbnail images. To change the view: In the browser, click the List View or Thumbnails button. Previewing Clips You can preview a movie file or collapsed image sequence in the file browser. To preview a clip: In the browser, scrub the thumbnail. An indicator on the top shows your position in the clip. 3. Enter the filename for which you want to search in the Search For field. You can enter a partial name, as well. 4. To also search through the folders that are in the selected folder, enable Search Subfolders. 5. To filter your search results, do any of the following: • To filter based on the creation date of the files, enable the upper Only Show Files button, and then set the options. You can choose to filter files newer or older than the amount of time entered. Choose whether this number represents hours, days, weeks, or years. • To filter based on the size of the files, enable the lower Only Show Files button, and then set the options. You can choose to filter files larger or smaller than the size entered. Choose whether this number represents bytes, kilobytes, megabytes, or gigabytes. Filter by file creation date Searching in the Browser You can use the browser's built-in search and filtering capabilities when trying to locate files. To search in the browser: 1. In the file browser, select the folder that you want to search. 2. Click the Search button. The Search dialog appears. Filter by file size 6. Click OK (ENTER). The results of your search appear in the browser.
