17 Paint: Drawing Basics Exporting Paint Objects as .swf File Formats The Export to Flash feature in the Paint Controls panel enables you to save Combustion Paint objects as Adobe Flash files-.swf file formats designed to deliver graphics and animation over the Internet. Saving Paint outputs to a .swf file format gives Combustion a broader appeal for the web market. You can create, transform, and animate Paint objects' properties in Combustion and then save your work as a .swf file. To view the result, you can either preview your work in the Adobe Flash Player within Combustion, open in your Internet browser the result saved in .html format, or view the result saved in .swf format using Adobe Flash Player. Note: If you do not have Adobe Flash Player, you can download it from the Adobe website at: http:// www.adobe.com/downloads. Accessing the Export to Flash Feature The export to Flash feature is available via the Settings controls in the Paint Controls panel. To access the Export to Flash feature: 1. In the Paint Controls panel, select the Settings button. Miscellaneous tools Drawing tools Selection and Mask tools Tool options The Toolbar displays the Paint tools supported for output as .swf file format. Displaying Paint Options Supported for .swf Output Since the Combustion tools are context-sensitive, you need to create a Paint object to display its Paint options supported for output to .swf file format. 1. In the Toolbar, select the Flash Mode button. 2. Select the Filled Ellipse tool and draw a filled ellipse object. 3. Press TAB or select the Arrow tool . The Toolbar displays the Paint tools and Paint tool options supported for output to Adobe Flash-.swf file format. The grayed out tools in the Toolbar indicate they are not supported for output to .swf file format. 2. In the Paint Toolbar, enable the Flash Mode. 474
