Using the Menu Commands ❚❘❘ Using the Menu Commands The menu commands displayed in Combustion are context sensitive; only the commands that apply to the selected operator are displayed. If the option you require is not available, make sure to first select the appropriate operator in the Workspace panel (or Schematic view). There are several possible menus in Combustion, including the basic menu, the Composite menu, and the Paint menu. Basic menu Composite menu Paint menu The Text, Mask, and Selection operators have menus similar to the Paint menu. The following describes the Basic menu options. File Menu The following options are available in the File menu. New-To create a Composite, Paint, Text, Particles, Edit Branch, or Solid image footage. Open-To import the selected footage into the Workspace, or create a new 2D composite, 3D composite, Paint operator, Edit operator, Discreet Keyer operator, or Discreet Color Corrector with the selected footage. Open Workspace-To open a Combustion workspace (.cws) file. Import Workspace-To import a Combustion workspace file into the current Combustion workspace file. Save Workspace-To re-save the current Combustion workspace file. Save Workspace As-To save the current Combustion workspace file. Close Workspace-To close the current Combustion workspace file. Revert Workspace-To revert to the last saved Combustion workspace file, thus losing all current changes. Open Recent Workspace-To open any one of the last ten saved Combustion workspace files. Import Footage-To import footage into the current Combustion workspace file. Quick Capture-To capture video. Save Image-To save the current image on the hard drive. Render-To render the output. Render to RAM-To customize the output options and to compare the result of two operators. Preferences-To set the Combustion preferences. Exit-To quit Combustion. Edit Menu The following options are available in the Edit menu. Undo-Erases the last action. You can customize the number of undo levels available. See Setting General Preferences. Redo-To perform the last action again. Select All-To select all objects in the current viewport, including lights, layers, and the camera. Select None-To deselect all selected objects. 29

Using the Menu Commands

The menu commands displayed in

Combustion

are

context sensitive; only the commands that apply to

the selected operator are displayed. If the option you

require is not available, make sure to first select the

appropriate operator in the Workspace panel (or

Schematic view).
