16 Introduction to Paint • Nest two or more of the layers of a composite as a new composite, then apply the Paint operator to that layer. • Nest an entire composite as a layer in a new composite, then apply the Paint operator to that layer. Paint Interface This section briefly describes the Paint controls and tools available in Combustion. It is intended as a quick reference for those who are familiar with using Paint tools. Learn more about how to use these controls in the following chapters: • Chapter 17, "Paint: Drawing Basics'' • Chapter 18, "Paint: Advanced Drawing Tools'' • Chapter 19, "Paint: Drawing Selections'' • Chapter 20, "Animating Text'' • Chapter 10, "Using Masks'' Paint Menu Bar Use the menus to access commands. Selection Menu You can access the following commands through the Selection menu. Select Entire Image-Creates a selection around the entire frame. Remove Selection-Ends a selection. Paste Into-Pastes the contents of the clipboard into the current selection. The pasted image is centered in the current selection, but is not resized. Paste and Fit Into-Pastes the contents of the clipboard into the current selection. The pasted image is centered in the current selection, and resized to fit in the current selection. Fill-Fills the active selection, or, if there are no active selections, the entire frame, with the current foreground color and/or Paint mode and settings. Invert-Inverts a selection. Feather-Feathers a selection by a specified pixel amount. Expand-Expands a selection by a specified pixel amount. Contract-Contracts a selection by a specified pixel amount. Object Menu You can access the following commands through the Object menu. Bring to Front-Moves the selected object to the top of the stacking order.
