Diamond Keyer Interface ❚❘❘ in the key-in source regardless of the display in the viewport. This lets you adjust softness and tolerance while viewing any of the display options. Tolerance Sets the range of colors to be keyed out. Do any of the following: • To reset the tolerance limit to a color, click the Tolerance color picker, and then sample the color in the viewport. • To extend the tolerance range to include a color, click the Add Tolerance color picker , and then sample the color in the image. CTRL-drag the cursor over a region to key out all the pixels inside the selection box. To perform detailed adjustments, you can zoom into the image and sample colors at the pixel level. • To shrink the range so that a color is excluded, click the Remove Tolerance color picker , and then sample the color in the image. Softness Sets the range of colors to make semi-transparent and creates a softer key. Do any of the following: • To reset the softness limit to a color, click the Softness color picker, and then sample the color in the image. Continue sampling pixels to add them to the softness range. • To extend the softness range to include a color, click the Add Softness color picker , and then sample the color in the image. CTRL-drag the cursor over a region to add all the pixels inside the selection box to the softness range. To perform detailed adjustments, you can zoom into the image and sample colors at the pixel level. • To shrink the softness range so that a color is excluded, click the Remove Softness color picker , and then sample the color in the image. Plot Color Sets the color to be keyed out. The key color appears in the Plot Color box. To set the key color, click the picker, move the cursor over the Diamond Keyer viewport and do one of the following: • Click a point to sample a single color. • Click and drag the cursor to use the average of the pixels sampled. • Press CTRL while you click and drag the cursor. A rectangular selection box surrounds the sampled pixels. The key color is set to the average of the pixels inside the selection box. Blur Applies a blur filter to the key-in source. This is useful when the blue screen is grainy. Click the Blur button to enable the blur, then set the blur width and height. These values determine the number of adjacent pixels used to blur each pixel. A Gaussian blur is used by default, but you can change the type to a Box blur in the Filter Type list. Display Options Use the Display options to switch between different views of your key. For example, click Matte to display the keyed matte in the current viewport. Front-Displays the image to which you applied the key. This is the layer you are keying with any operators you applied to that layer before the Diamond Keyer. Note: If the front layer is not the one you expect, you probably applied the key to the wrong layer. In the Workspace panel, copy and paste the Keyer operator to the correct layer.
