Audio Interface ❚❘❘ Current Frame-Sets the current frame in the audio clip. This field can be displayed as frames or as timecode (as set in the Preferences dialog). Start-Sets the point where the audio clip starts to play. You set the Start and Duration to define the portion of the audio clip to use in the workspace. Start can be displayed as frames or as timecode (as set in the Preferences dialog). Duration-Indicates how much of the audio clip you want to use. Duration can be displayed as frames or as timecode (as set in the Preferences dialog). Load and Link Controls Use the controls in the center of the Audio panel to load an audio file and link it to an operator in the workspace. Browse-Opens the Open Audio dialog that enables you to locate and import an audio file. Unload-Removes the audio clip so it is no longer the audio source. It does not erase the audio file itself, but completely frees the RAM that the audio was using. Link To-Opens the Operator Picker dialog, which you use to select the operator to which you want to link the audio clip. Audio Details and Meters The Audio details and meters contain the following information. Level Meters Rate-Displays the sampling rate of the clip. Encoding-Lists the bit depth of the audio file, and whether it is mono or stereo (one audio channel or two). Format-Displays the format of the audio file. File Size-Displays the size of the audio file in megabytes. Duration-Displays the duration of the audio clip. Duration can be displayed as frames or as timecode (as set in the General preferences). Memory-Displays the amount of RAM the clip occupies. Linked To:-Shows the operator or composite to which the audio file is linked. Level Meters-The left and right level meters show the sound levels for a mono or stereo clip. 741
