Organizing Nodes ❚❘❘ In the following example, the Paint and Text nodes are selected, and a Discreet Color Corrector is added to both nodes. Added node Selected nodes New layer nodes New Composite node The new composite is connected to the original layer nodes. Added node This example applies to all node types except for Composite nodes. Adding a Composite node to more than one selected node does not add a Composite node to all the selected nodes. Since a Composite node has multiple inputs, all inputs from the selected nodes are connected to a single, new Composite node. Since an operator node cannot be directly connected to a composite (it must go "through" a layer node), the outputs of the selected nodes are connected to new layer nodes that are in turn connected to the new composite. Using the Operators Panel Use the Operators panel to quickly add operators to nodes in the Schematic view. In the panel, you can create a custom list of "favorites" for fast access to operators frequently used in a workspace. To add a node using the Operators panel: 1. In the Schematic view (F12), select the node(s) to which you want to add operators. 2. In the Operators panel (F5), select an operator category from the list. Operator category Operators The operators belonging to the selected category appear. 3. Select an operator from the list. The operator is applied to the selected node(s). Note: Installed third-party plug-ins appear in their own categories in the Operators list. 175
