5 Compositing To duplicate an operator: 1. In the Workspace panel, select the operator. 2. Choose Edit | Duplicate (CTRL+ALT+D). A copy of the operator is added above the selected operator. You can also turn filter operators on or off by clicking Enabled in the operator controls. Note: If the operator controls are not displayed, double-click the filter operator in the Workspace panel. Deleting Operators To delete an operator, select the operator in the Workspace panel or in the Timeline, and press DELETE. You can also delete most filter operators by clicking Remove in the operator controls. Note: If the operator controls are not displayed, double-click the filter operator in the Workspace panel. Turning Operators On or Off You can temporarily turn off an operator without deleting it from the workspace. This is useful for making "before/after" comparisons without actually removing the operator from the layer. To turn an operator on or off, click the icon next to the operator's name in the Timeline or in the Workspace panel. Click the icon again to toggle the operator back on. Storing Operator Settings Use storage buttons to store up to five versions of your operator settings, and then quickly switch between the different stored settings to compare the results. Note: The storage buttons are not available for all operators. Keyframes and expressions are also stored. This means that you can use storage buttons to compare different versions of an animation. When you cut and paste, or copy and paste an operator, all its stored settings are also copied. To store operator settings: 1. In the operator controls, enable Store. The current operator settings are stored in storage 1. 2. Adjust the operator's properties. When you are satisfied with the settings in store 1, move to store 2. 156
