2 Welcome to Combustion To display an operator in a viewport: Do one of the following: • Double-click an operator in the Workspace panel or Timeline. • Select an operator in the Workspace panel or Timeline and then click the Send Up button. Note: Use the Send Down button to load the operator in the active viewport into the Controls panel. • Double-click a node in the Schematic view and then click the Send Up button. • Triple-click a node in the Schematic view. • Move the cursor to the gray strip at the top of a node in the Schematic view, then click and drag it to a viewport. • Right-click the viewport, choose Select Operator, and double-click an operator in the Select Operator to View dialog that appears. The operator is displayed in the active viewport. You can also drag the operator from the workspace to any viewport. This will make the target viewport the active viewport. Changing the Viewport Layout You can display a single viewport or choose from five different multiple-viewport layouts. To change the viewport layout: 1. Select a layout from the Viewport Layout list. Viewport Layout list The single-viewport layout option displays a single viewport. The two-viewport layout option displays two viewports. The left viewport is the active viewport by default. The first four-viewport layout option displays four viewports of equal size. The second four-viewport layout option displays four viewports: three smaller viewports of equal size and one large viewport. The horizontal two-viewport layout option displays two viewports: one viewport at the top and one viewport at the bottom. The upper viewport is the active viewport by default. The three-viewport layout option displays three viewports: two smaller viewports of equal size and one large viewport. The large viewport is the active viewport by default. 2. To set the viewport(s) to fill the entire screen, choose Window | Palettes | Show Viewports Only, or press F11. This hides all other controls on the interface. Press F11 again to return to the default setup. To cycle viewports: 1. Click a viewport. 2. Press [ to cycle to the next viewport. 3. Press SHIFT+[ to cycle to the previous viewport. Zooming and Panning the Viewport You can set the zoom factor for each viewport. Zooming in or out changes the size of the displayed image. You can also pan the image in the viewport. Note: Changing the zoom factor is not the same as using the Perspective Zoom tool. You can change the zoom factor using the Zoom buttons, the Magnify tool in the Toolbar, or the keyboard shortcuts. 22

Welcome to Combustion

To display an operator in a viewport:

Do one of the following:

•

Double-click an operator in the Workspace panel

or Timeline.

•

Select an operator in the Workspace panel or

Timeline and then click the Send Up

button.

Note:

Use the Send Down

button to load

the operator in the active viewport into the

Controls panel.

•

Double-click a node in the Schematic view and

then click the Send Up

button.

•

Triple-click a node in the Schematic view.

•

Move the cursor to the gray strip at the top of a

node in the Schematic view, then click and drag it

to a viewport.

•

Right-click the viewport, choose Select Operator,

and double-click an operator in the Select Operator

to View dialog that appears.

The operator is displayed in the active viewport.

You can also drag the operator from the workspace

to any viewport. This will make the target viewport

the active viewport.

Changing the Viewport Layout

You can display a single viewport or choose from five

different multiple-viewport layouts.

To change the viewport layout:

Select a layout from the Viewport Layout list.

The single-viewport layout option

displays a single viewport.

The two-viewport layout option

displays

two viewports. The left viewport is the active

viewport by default.
