Using Quick Setup ❚❘❘ Note: This option only becomes available when you enable Send Email on the Global Settings panel. 4. Click Process to render the output. The e-mail is sent at the end of the render whether the rendering was successful or not. To control the size of the e-mail, you can make another output specifically for previewing purposes. For example, if you are rendering a clip that is not ideal for sending in e-mail, you can send a small clip or only a few representative frames. To send a few frames, just duplicate the output, limit the frame range, and enable Attach Output to Email only for the smaller output. You can also control the size of the attachment in the preferences. Scheduling When to Render You can schedule when the enabled outputs in the current workspace should be rendered. For example, you can schedule the rendering to start when you are not at the computer. If you want to batch render several workspaces, use the same feature in the stand-alone Autodesk Combustion Render Queue application. See Scheduling the Rendering Jobs. To schedule rendering: 1. Click Preferences in the Autodesk Combustion Render Queue dialog. 2. Enable Use Timer. The Scheduling options appear. 3. Enter the hour and minute at which rendering will begin in the Start Render Time field and select either AM or PM from the list. 4. Enter the date on which rendering will begin in the Start Render Date field. 5. Set up the required operators and outputs in the queue. 6. Click Process. The status message changes to "Waiting for Scheduled Start Time". Rendering begins at the scheduled day and time. ▲ You must leave the Autodesk Combustion Render Queue dialog open to use this feature. Using Quick Setup There are several features to simplify the setup of rendering jobs. Use Quick Setup to pre-define the path and name for the rendered files. In conjunction with presets, you can automatically apply a set of output options to all enabled outputs in the queue. To use quick setup: 1. Turn on only those operators and/or outputs that you want to which you want to apply the Quick Setup options. 2. Click Quick Setup. The Render Queue Quick Setup dialog appears. 3. To apply a preset, enable Use Preset and select a preset from the list. 771
