The Diamond Keyer depicts color distribution through all hues and across the luma range. The procedure for keying a red, green, cyan, magenta, or yellow color channel using the Diamond Keyer is essentially the same as the procedure for keying a blue or green screen. The only difference is that you select another channel than blue or green. Note: The following procedure assumes you already have a composite that will be used for pulling a key. To key a color other than blue or green: 1. In the Diamond Keyer controls, click Basic. 2. Do either of the following: • Click the R, C, M, or Y Presets to define the tolerance range based on the selected channel. • Click the Plot color picker and click or drag over the composite to sample a pixel. The sampled pixel is indicated by an orange dot in the Hue cube and by an orange line in the Luma gradient. The tolerance range and softness range are set to default values based on the sampled pixel. 3. Adjust the tolerance range in the Luma gradient, or use the Tolerance color pickers. 637

Adjust the tolerance range in the Luma gradient,

or use the Tolerance color pickers.

Adjust the tolerance range in problem areas by

using the Tolerance color pickers, or by plotting a

color and then adjusting the tolerance in the

Luma gradient and Hue cube.

Dragging the tolerance wireframe control points

in the Hue cube, or the tolerance line control

point in the Luma gradient (representing the

tolerance of the sampled pixel), adds or removes

the sampled pixel from the tolerance range.
