2 Welcome to Combustion SMPTE bars, use the Combustion preferences. See Setting Vectorscope Preferences. To move a vectorscope in a viewport, ALT-drag it. To zoom a vectorscope, press CTRL+ALT++ (plus sign) to zoom in and CTRL+ALT+- (minus sign) to zoom out. You can also scrub to zoom the vectorscope while holding CTRL+SHIFT+ALT. To rotate a 3D vectorscope, CTRL+ALT-drag it. Press CTRL+ALT+HOME to reset the vectorscope's size and position to their defaults. To show clip color information: 1. Do one of the following: • Choose Window | Vectorscope. • Right-click the viewport and choose Vectorscope. Set the following options to select the clip color information displayed in the 2D or 3D vectorscope: Enable To Show Source Show a histogram of the color values in the front, or source, clip. The source color values are obtained from the current frame. If you input both front and matte clips, the color values in the front clip that are defined by the white part of the matte are displayed. Show Result Show a histogram of the color values in the result clip. The result color values are obtained from the current frame. If you input both front and matte clips, the color values in the front clip that are defined by the white part of the matte are displayed. When both Show Source and Show Result are enabled, you see both the source and result color values. The source clip's color values are displayed in dark gray and the result clip's color values are displayed in color. When only Show Source is enabled, the source clip's color values are displayed in color. Source clip colors Result clip colors Setting Preferences This section describes how to use the Combustion preference settings to control various aspects of the application. To access the Preferences dialog: Choose File | Preferences (CTRL+;). Setting General Preferences Use the General preferences to control the autosave duration, how time is displayed, and various other aspects of Combustion. To set general preferences: Under the Host category, click the General category. The General preferences appear. 46
