Using Source Lights ❚❘❘ 2. Do one of the following: • In the Composite Controls panel, select the light from the Current list. • Select the light in the Workspace panel or Timeline. • Click the light icon in a viewport. Light icon, Point type Creating and Deleting Lights A new point light is automatically created when you create a 3D composite. You can add as many lights to a composite as needed. You can also change the properties for each light, including the light type and animation properties. To add a light, do one of the following: • Right-click the Light object either from the Workspace panel or the Timeline and choose Copy. Right-click the Light object either from the Workspace panel or the Timeline and choose Paste. A light object is added to the Branch. Any property changes you made to the first light are carried over to this new light. • Right-click the Light object either from the Workspace panel or the Timeline and choose Duplicate. A light object is added to the Branch. Any property changes you made to the first light are carried over to this new light. • Choose Object | New Light. A light object is added to the Branch, with its properties set to default. By default, the new light is a white point light with Intensity set to 100%, X position set to 170, Y Position set to 130, and Z position set to -250. Note: If you cannot see the light icon in the active viewport, you can zoom the view until the light icon is visible. The selected light is the current object. You can now move and rotate it, or change its properties in the Light controls. New light 735
