16 Introduction to Paint Select Number Of Frames To Add objects with a duration that extends for a number of frames specified in the Number of Frames field, starting from the current frame. Note: The Default Object Duration setting does not prevent you from changing the object's duration after creating it. Output Selection-Enable this option to keep selections active when you exit Paint and return to a composite. This allows you to continue adding operators to a layer that only affect the selection you created in Paint. Color-Click the Spline color box to change the color of the Paint object's outline. The default color is the same for the Paint and mask operators. You can change the default color by setting the color when no objects are selected. If an object is selected, you change the color for that object only. Masks Setups-Enables you to import/export masks setups between Combustion and one of the Autodesk SGI-based systems (for example, Flame). See "Using Mask Setup Files" in Chapter 10, "Using Masks''. Flash-Enables you to export Paint objects as Adobe Flash outputs-.swf files. To export a Paint object as a .swf file: 1. Select the Paint operator in the Workspace panel. 2. In the Paint Settings controls, select (Flash) Export. The Export Flash File dialog appears. 3. Ensure the file type selected is Flash File (*.swf), then save your file. Two output files are created: an .html file and a .swf file. See "Exporting Paint Objects as .swf File Formats" in Chapter 17, "Paint: Drawing Basics''. Color Controls The Color controls are made up of the Swatches, Mixer, Picker, and Sliders panels. Swatches menu Note: A different color picker appears when you click the Color box in the Modes controls. For more information, see "Using the Pick Color Dialog" in Chapter 2, "Welcome to Combustion''. Swatches Panel The Swatches panel displays customizable color swatches. There are several default swatch "sets" from which to choose. To choose a swatch set: Click the Swatches menu button ( ) and choose swatch set. To pick a color from the swatch set: 1. Move the cursor over the Swatches panel. The cursor changes to a color picker. 2. Click the color swatch you want. The default foreground color changes to the color of the swatch. 3. To pick a background color, press ALT and click the swatch you want. Note: The foreground and background colors are shared with the Text operator. Changes to one affect the other, and vice versa. 442

Note:

The Default Object Duration setting does not

Output Selection

—Enable this option to keep

Color

—Click the Spline color box to change the

file:
