Rendering Your Work ❚❘❘ 13.Enter the first frame to render in the Start field. Enter the last frame to render in the End field. By default, the entire operator is rendered. 14.If you want to schedule when the enabled outputs should be rendered, set the time in the preferences. For details, see Scheduling When to Render. 15.Click Process. If the Select Compressor dialog appears, set the required options for the video format and click OK. For information, see Choosing an Image Format. Combustion begins rendering the enabled outputs. The status of the rendering is displayed on the status bars and in the Statistics panel. Note: You should not use your computer for other tasks while rendering, as this can have a significant impact on the time it takes to render the outputs. To stop rendering: Do one of the following: • Click the Stop button. • Press ESC or press CTRL+. (period). The rendering stops at the current frame, and the movie file or sequence is incomplete. Setting Preferences This section describes how to use the Render Queue preference settings to control various aspects of the rendering process. Combustion saves your preference settings from session to session. To set the preferences: 1. In the Autodesk Combustion Render Queue, click Preferences. The Render Queue Preferences dialog appears. 2. Set the options as required, then click OK. The following sections describe the available options. General Preferences Use the General preferences to control the behavior of the Autodesk Combustion Render Queue on startup. Max Render Cache Usage-Sets the maximum memory usage for the Autodesk Combustion Render Queue dialog in Combustion. Cache can be set in megabytes or percentage of available RAM. 759
