12 Creating Animations Showing only Animated Channels You can choose to display in the Timeline only the channels that have been animated. To enable and disable this option, select Show Only Animated Channels in the Timeline menu, or press SHIFT+K. To create a channel filter preset: 1. In the timeline, do one of the following: • To include all channels for an object in the preset, select the object. • To include individual channels, select the channels to add to the preset. CTRL-click to select multiple channels. Note: Only the selected channel from the selected object will be saved in the preset, not all channels of that type from all objects. 2. Select Add Channel Filter Preset from the Timeline menu. 3. In the dialog that appears, enter the preset name in the Filter Name field. Showing only Channels with Expressions You can choose to display in the Timeline only the channels that have been expressions applied to them. To enable and disable this option, select Show Only Channels With Expressions in the Timeline menu, or press SHIFT+X. Creating Channel Filter Presets You can select the channels you would like to filter and save them to a channel filter preset to easy apply them whenever needed. Presets are saved with the workspace file, and you can edit the name or delete them when they are no longer required. 4. Click OK. The preset is created and applied to the Timeline so that only the selected channels are visible. The preset also is added in the Timeline menu under Channel Filter Presets. To apply channel filter presets: 1. Choose Channel Filter Presets in the Timeline menu and select a preset. 2. To remove filtering in the Timeline, choose Channel Filter Presets | None from the Timeline menu. 278
