Rendering Interface ❚❘❘ (network rendering). For information, see Network and Batch Rendering. Channels-Controls which channels are rendered. For information, see Choosing Which Channels to Render. Fields-Controls the field dominance for the rendered file. For information, see Setting Field Dominance. 3:2 Pulldown-Sets 3:2 Pulldown and controls the placement of the whole and split frames. This option is only available if you choose either Upper or Lower field dominance. For information, see Setting Field Dominance. Cleaner-Automatically sends image files to Cleaner for encoding after they are rendered. After you enable this option, click Settings to specify an output profile and set other related options. Note: If you do not have Cleaner installed locally, this option is disabled. FTP-Specifies if image files are sent to a File Transfer Protocol (FTP) site after they are rendered. After you enable FTP, click Settings to set the FTP options. Import into Workspace-Imports the rendered footage into the Footage Library in the workspace. Once the output is imported into the Footage Library, you can turn off the old layers and link the new footage to the operator instead. This is the idea behind caching an operator to disk. You can switch between the rendered and original output quickly using a Switcher operator. For more information, see Chapter 7, "Committing Frames to Disk''. Attach Output to Email-Automatically attaches the selected output to the e-mail notification sent when rendering is complete. To use this feature, you must first set the related options in the Global Settings panel and Render Queue preferences. For information, see Sending E-mail after Rendering. Audio Output Options Use these options to control the rendering of an audio scratch track, including the audio file format and sampling rate. Enable the Audio Output checkbox to render the audio track, then set the appropriate Audio Output options. For detailed information, see "Audio Rendering" in Chapter 30, "Adding Audio''. Render Range Options Use these options to choose the frames that you want to render. Note: To specify the number of frames to render, you can enter a value in the Start and End, or Start and Duration, or End and Duration fields. The system calculates the third value (Start, End, or Duration) based on the Frame Step setting. Start-Sets the first frame to be rendered. You can also drag the Render Range slider to set this value. End-Sets the last frame to be rendered. You can also drag the Render Range slider to set this value. Frame Step-Specifies the number of frames to skip when rendering. For example, if you render frames 1 to 30 with Frame Step set to 2, every second frame is rendered. The duration of the output is therefore 15 frames, rather than 30. Note: Image sequences are numbered continuously, regardless of the Frame Step setting. In the previous example, you render frames 1, 3, 5, and so on up to frame 29. However, the rendered sequence will be numbered myfile0001.tga, myfile0002.tga, myfile0003.tga, and so on up to myfile00015.tga. Duration-Displays the total number of frames to be rendered. The duration is the number of frames from the Start frame to the End frame, divided by the Frame Step. 755

Channels

—Controls which channels are rendered.

—Controls the field dominance for the

—Sets 3:2 Pulldown and controls the

placement of the whole and split frames. This option

is only available if you choose either Upper or Lower

Cleaner

—Automatically sends image files to

FTP

—Specifies if image files are sent to a File
