Applying Operators ❚❘❘ Store 1 is stored and copied to store 2. Any further adjustments you make are stored in store 2. Note: If store 2 is not empty, select an empty store. (A dot in the lower right corner of the store button indicates that it contains settings.) 3. When you are satisfied with storage 2, move to storage 3 (or an empty store) and continue to fine-tune the settings. To start adjusting store 3 from scratch, click Reset. By switching between storage 1, 2, and 3, you can compare the settings that you stored in each one. Moving between Stored Settings If Store is enabled, when you click an empty store, the current settings are copied to the empty store. In other words, when you go from storage 1 to an empty store, the empty storage is "filled" with the settings of store 1. When you move between filled store buttons, the system displays the stored settings for each one. But remember, if you adjust any settings while Store is enabled, the store updates to the current settings. Emptying Storage If you want to copy the settings from one store to another so that you can fine-tune the settings in the second store, the second store must be empty. When you create a new operator, all the store buttons are empty, but if you have saved settings in all five stores, you may need to empty a few. To empty a store: 1. Select the store and click Reset. The dot disappears from the lower right corner of the store button to indicate that it is empty. 2. Disable Store before moving to another store. Otherwise, the blank settings are saved and the dot reappears. Exporting and Importing Setups You can add an operator, modify its settings, and then export the operator setup for later use. For example, create and export a keyer setup, export the setup, and then e-mail it for another compositor to import it at another location on the same clip. Note: The exporting and importing setups are not available for all operators. To export an operator setup: 1. With options set for export, click the operator in the Workspace panel to view its controls. 2. Click Export. 3. In the Export Effect Operator Setup dialog, set a destination and file name for the setup file. Note: The file extension is added automatically. 4. Click Save. To import an operator setup: 1. Add an operator to match the setup you want to import. 2. In the operator controls, click Import. 3. In the Import Effect Operator Setup dialog, locate the file you want to import. 4. Click Open. The imported setup file replaces the current settings. 157
